There are sprays you can get from the Garden Centre that deter cats and dogs.

Is the grass long? I think having a sprinkler would be the best idea. They had an interview not long ago with the guy who started the plastic bottle on the lawn thing. He said it with a joke on a radio show one day and it spread like wild fire, it is a complete hoax. I can't believe people actually believed it though, I mean how could it possibly work?

Citrus & Cayenne pepper both work but are a pain. The only way is to make the area unplesant for them basically. There is stuff you can buy. I've heard cats hate citrus. It's certainly true in the case of our cat.

Water bottles are a big myth. Maybe ask at a pet store?

Google says red pepper flakes, but I'd watch out with DS with that one or sprinklers & turn them on when you see a cat about. Oh geez, i had same problem in my last house! Didn't help that our pathway looked like kitty litter, grrrr. I have heard that lemon rhinds can help.

I went out and brought some fancy stuff you put through your garden and grass but I think the cats just laughed at me and shat even more!

We have a major issue with neighbourhood cats targetting and using our lawn as a toileting spot atm!

Anyone know of anything I can do to deter them from doing so? Perhaps something I could sprinkle over the lawn ...or something, anything to scare them away?
