They are the same thickness as the bigger muslin squares we used as burp cloths etc.  So only one layer.  They were fine, although they were a bit small once C got past newborn-ish size.  If I was making them myself I'd do them more like a proper flannel size.<br /><br />I kept them dry and filled a small bowl with water when I needed to use them.]]>

I did all the cutting out and pinning she's doing all the sewing!  <br /><br />No overlocker here either so Mum is using the closest stitch option she has (think it's a form of zigzag).<br /><br />We've gone for three layers of gause-type cotton muslin, and I wil wet as needed.  Have decided to also make some toweling wipes too, so will let you know in a few months which I prefer!!]]>

I only cut up about 20 so far and they have been going strong for about 3 months, wash up well and dont matter if they accidentally get thrown out - BARGAIN! We have a few muslin facecloths that I use for baths and to catch little spills.]]>

Two layers, and two diff colours - one for bum one for face! i think we are getting about 50 out of them for only 12 bucks! <br />We are having a winter bubba so will wet them as we go with some warm water.......nicer on the wee bottom!]]>

Fantastic as you dont have to hem them just cut them up great for sewing challenged people like myself lol! They are super soft and dry really fast too. I got 1/2 m for $4.50 on special at spotlight and got heaps of cloths out of them. ]]>

Now she poos so rarely that I just wet them at the sink as I need them. Mine are double layer muslin and they are great.]]>

Mine are two layers and I zigzag, then turn inside out and straight top stitch. Although i think it was double muslin (does that exist?)<br /><br />Tastic i made muslin ones and zigzaged around the edge, did it on quite a small stitch. We dont have an overlocker either. They have been going for 6months now and still going strong. <br /><br />I keep mine dry and then just wet at the sink before nappy change and then they go in the bucket with the dirty cloth nappy. Mainly because i dont have the time to put them all into a box lol. I would still only do 2 layers with muslin too. I made mine so that they fit nicely into a ice-cream container box without folding which works for me.]]>
