My saviour for that has been a battery operated swing I got from Farmer. It has music and a mobile and so long as she is fed and tied she will fall asleep in there if she won't in her bed. As a matter of fact that is exactly what she is doing now!

Good luck cause it is a hard one and you prob don't want to haveto go for a walk every afternoon
The only thing we find works is a ride in the pram or rock him off to sleep in the bouncinette (we keep him wrapped otherwise he wakes himself up still). He used to never sleep in his cot at that time, so 1-2 nights a week is an improvement for us and will hopefully improve further soon!

Good luck

In the afternoon he just catnaps. Around 4pm its hard to get him down but he always settles when I put him in the wrap and wear him - he has a better sleep like that than if i keep trying to get him to go to bed like he does fine the rest of the day. Then we bath him about 5.45pm and he goes to bed by about 7pm. Well thats roughly how our days go at the moment!

By the end of the day they are so tired and grumpy (even after they've been sleeping all day! Well, in most cases, in my case she's awake most of the day )

Does he like the pram? I'll sometimes go for a walk once she's showing tired signs. She doesn't often fall asleep in the pram, but once I get back she's sometimes relaxed enough to go to sleep.

Otherwise if she REALLY refuses sleep I just shift bedtime forward a bit and get her fed and into bed. I try to avoid that though because then she's awake early It's a tough one, it's why they call it the 'witching hours'.

I've been trying for the last hour to get him down, I've tried rocking, cuddling, feeding, shusshing, singing (I'm not suprised the singing didn't work though ) and nothing, he's upset as he's now overtired but nothing seems to work. I even resorted to going for a drive with him yesterday, but as soon as I stopped the car he was wide awake again.

Its been the same the last 3 or 4 days. Every other sleep I feed him and rock him for a little while then put him into bed with his aquarium thingy going and he's out to it within 5mins.

Any suggestions??
