i presume you have already cooked it now but i thought i'd say that when we were little my mum used to cook the silverbeet with some minted peas (she did cook the peas for about 30 mins tho lol) and it made it taste nice. Caliandjack I thought I might have over cooked it a bit last time too, but I went shopping with my friend and she got some too and said thy found it a bit tasting! And shes a much more experienced cook than me so I figured it wasn't just me!!!!

Sweet!! Sounds like a plan I hope it works the way I want it to!!! Got extras for tea (bloody males, I'm sure they can smell food from a mile away!) So it should bulk it up a wee bit, and use it up! Hehe.

I woulda rung my mummy but shes away and feel silly ringing the MIL to ask silly questions like this! (I ring them both way too often as it is!)

That's the only way I eat silverbeet... I just cut it in little bits and throw it in the wok with the mince... I don't normally bother cooking it first.... Silverbeet in mince? I bought some silverbeet, but its soo not nice! Dunno why, we usually like silverbeet but this stuff just doesn't taste nice!

I'm making a pot of mince for tea, can I hide it in there Or will it go all yukky??

Do I have to partially boil it first? I don't wanna throw it out... And figured if I cut it up small enough, it might hide itself in the mince?

Or is this a totally stupid idea?? Someone suggested boiling it, then throwing it in the oven with eggs and cheese..
