My 2nd was very onto it with his milestones so i was getting worried at first as well but ive relaxed on it all now and know hes generally on par and if he takes a wee bit longer at things it means i get to keep a baby longer<br /><br />thesaff - or unsuspecting nose!!  ]]>

I was so worried about it I mentioned it to the paed and had her eyes checked out but nope, there was nothing wrong with her. OMG just trust me, if your baby makes the noise, you'll go "Wow, now I know what a pterodactyl sounds like!"]]>

But it was like once a week for a little while or thereabouts.<br /><br />I had to look up about milestones as Nathan rolled once then 3x two weeks later then nothing.  But he is sitting for a while before losing balance so I've read that's the main thing is that he is accomplishing some of it.  Try not to worry (I do too).  Babies all do it at their own time and I think personality comes into it - Nathan laughs and smiles easily and all the time... whereas other babies might be more serious.]]>

Proper sounds - Hmmmm, I only remember screaming until at least 3, maybe 4 months....  that may be my mummy brain, but I don't remember her being really vocal for ages.... Oh wait - she used to make a pterodactyl noise at about 2 and a half/3 months..]]>

And she didn't giggle till like 6months or something! Now she's the happiest baby around and is always grinning and cracking up, even at complete strangers. Definitely doesn't mean there is something wrong with your little one <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> (Chelsea was early too - 36w5d)<br /><br />Try not to worry too much - easier said than done I know! (We thought she didn't like us lol, funny the things you think sometimes eh)<br /><br />Eta: she first rolled at about 5months, crawled at 10months, and got her first tooth 2days before turning 1, and 2nd tooth just a couple of days ago. No signs of walking yet so she just does things a bit later than other bubbas too.<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by rachelsea</span>]]>

DH then spent all weekend trying to make him laugh - but DS didn't.  It was about 2 weeks after that before I heard it again.<br />Same with rolling.  Saw it once or twice, then not again for a couple of weeks.<br />DS has no teeth and shows no signs of crawling, I'm starting to feel lagging behind, but he'll get there.
