thanks everyone. Yes im in wales so there isnt much sunlight out !
hes slept from 230-8am and woken with a bit more colour and energy. He kept down a fair bit of the hydration powder stuff so thats a good sign,

Will see how he goes with feeding and get him to the doc this morning.

I think it is a gastro bug because the other little boy he was with on friday is sick this morning too.

Get to a local hospital or doc asap - dehydration can bring a baby down very quickly - and they can catch anything on a plane.
There is a lot they can do that you arent already - fluids I would think would be the most important thing right now guess it depends on what it is - and it will give you piece of mind - that you havent missed something

I don't think you would have to pay for a baby to see the GP anyway in the UK (where I am from) but not totally sure.

Maysie 's suggestion is good re NHS helpline - they can give you advice and even tell you if you need to pay to see the doc. I am sure you are wrecked too which won't help how you are feeling - speaking as someone who has had jet lag with a baby! Poor wee man will be finding it hard to adjust to time differences if he is sick too. You're in the UK now right? If you have to pay for the drs/hospital then your travel insurance should reimburse the costs. 0845 4647 is the NHS Healthline phone number. It costs 5p per minute from a BT landline. I don't know of any free phone services sorry. But I still think you should take him to the hospital just to be safe. He has been on a long flight and could have picked something up on the plane. I'd probably go straight to the drs but if you're not sure give healthline a ring and they will go through the checklist and advise whether to keep doing what you're doing or take him to the drs (made my first call to them a 3am a few months back and they are very nice)

I'd say Dr immediately. If in doubt call healthline (0800 611 116), they'll go through a check list for you and if they think he should be seen straight away they'll organise the ambulance.

Like mollycat, I would be getting him to the doctor asap. I haven't been in this situation with DD so not sure what they will do for him but it is worth the money IMO

what will the doctor do that im not already doing??
(apart from take my money and
tell me he needs rest, and lots of fluids ?!?!)

i have managed to get some dehydration sachet things for him to drink. I have checked his fontonelle and its not sunken in.

still no wet nappies tho.

will see how he is through the night and go to the doctor tomorrow if no change. Got a feeling im in for a long night - my poor baby boy. so we are recovering from major jet lag after flying from Wellington to the UK on wednesday (32 hour trip), DS 7.5months has not adjusted well the the time difference despite all my best efforts to get him into his usual routine..

last night he woke and vomitted, and has had diarreah and more vommitting throughout the day. Hes very lathargic and wont eat any solids or drink breastmilk. he is taking small sips of warm water

I have managed to get some pamol in and he kept that down fine. he is very warm still but not as feverish.

I am very worried about him, can anyone suggest what i should be doing and at what stage do i take him to the doctors. Hes been poorly for going on 16 hours and has missed 3 meals.

Its a stressfull time as we are staying with friends and i am home alone with no car for the time being.
