Apparently there's a few "developmental spurts" that occur throughout the baby's first year, and the largest happens around the 9 month mark, when the baby is often learning to roll or crawl, or sometimes teething. It wreaks havoc on sleep patterns!

I can't really help on tips to get her to sleep (I still cuddle Campbell to sleep!), but it is a phase!

DH was flavour of the month and if I tried getting C to sleep at night it would all turn to crap but with DH it took a while but he would go off to sleep just fine in his arms and then sleep through. In hindsight I think I was getting stressed with the evenings/nights on my own before DH got home from work and it was rubbing off on C then DH would get home and the change of vibe seemed to help

I can't rock either of them to sleep, they won't have a bar of it LOL

I'm hoping it is just a phase and will pass soon...

I put him down, and with a few exceptions, all's well and he goes to sleep. However, if DH put's him down it's likely to start 1/2hr of screaming followed by DH rocking him to sleep.
DH is a sucker for a sob story and DS prefers being rocked to sleep by DH (DS not so into being rocked by me). I know DS is tring it on, and now I often won't let DH in the room if DS's a bit cranky because he'll try it on.

Other than that, as I always say, it's a phase and it will pass. Hugs fix most things.

Just weird that she has been in it for a while, and we've never had a problem before now!

She is teething though, and has just started rolling...and yep, they're on solids. She's happy lying down at any other time, it just seems to be when it's bed time in the cot.

Isabella has been harder to settle in her cot than the bassinet, but since Ive had the bumper pad up she is fine, makes her feel more secure I guess...

You could try wrapping her for a while and see if that helps Amber?

Any of these interfere with sleep but also get her checked at the Dr - could be sore ears, they feel worse when they lie down.

She's been in it for a month or so now, and this is a recent thing - in the last 4-5 days? She's fine sleeping in the cot, happy waking, still sleeping well in it, just will not go to sleep in it.

Does anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this and how we can fix it??? It's getting so that DH has to cuddle her to sleep each night, which is not a habit that we want to get into (as they do stay overnight elsewhere at times, and she won't go to sleep in anyone else's arms excepy DH's).
