We consider walking when they start taking more than around 5 steps unaided - Amelie can go about 5 metres now before face planting.

 

I would say you definitely have a walker!

yep i considered Tessa walking when she did 8 steps, didn't take too long after that that she was walking all the time, now she just about runs.

I class walking as when they're walking more than crawling (the preferred mode of 'transport'). when i took Cory for his 8mth check..because he was walking across the room holding onto just a finger on each hand they classed that as walking.

Just wondering what you would consider walking? DS is taking at most 8 steps at a time, and if he is standing up he will walk till he falls and then crawl to where he was going... but not sure if i consider it as walking.
