just an update:
A little update from Ashley last night (03/08/2010)

Leikyn came through the bone scan just fine. They did not put the chemo port in. The bone scan confirmed that the cancer is in her bone marrow as they had suspected.

They cannot put a chemo port in at this time because they found that she had mucous in her lungs due to an infection. This morning they are inserting a central line and will start chemo through the central line today. Once the infection clears they will insert the port. She will have chemo daily for the next 5 days and will come home in the next 5-7days for 3 weeks and then return for another 5 day series of chemo. She will continue this routine for the next 5 months - 1 week on and 3 weeks off.

They hope to remove her ventilator some time this week so that she can be moved to a regular room on the oncology floor.

Lee and Ashley asked that you continue the prayers for their little Leibug. They also want to thank all of you for your continued prayers and support. There aren't words to describe their feeling of gratitude for the enormous amount of support they have received so far. It has touched them deeply to say the least.

I want to thank all of you personally for all of the prayers and support for them. It is because of your prayers that Lee, Ashley and Leikyn continue to have the strength to cope with all of this and move forward to a complete recovery for Leikyn.

Keep the prayers coming for little Leibug! Thoughts and Prayers needed please
I "worked/designed" with Ashley on Catchy Creations (signature/tag making site) for a while last year. Her baby, Leikyn was just diagnosed with cancer - Stage 4. so please please please if you use the power of prayer then please pray, if not please just keep this precious wee girl in your thoughts
