They should only be putting in a small amount directly into your cervix, usually about 1.7ml - about 5ml (Dr's like to use the smallest amout necessary) It should be your cervix and a tiny area around it that goes numb. I've never had a patient have problems with peeing or anything like that, and the anasthetic should wear off within a couple of hours. <br /><br />Remember to talk any concerns you have through with your Dr, it's part of the informed consent process.]]>

You may find it wears off pretty quickly like lots of locals do but I don't *know* any of that!]]>
