Did anyone mention a toilet? Probably one of the most important things if you have no facilities lol

Tent
Mattresses
Blankets (inc blanket for under and on top of the airbed if you have one, as the air goes really cold overnight)
Sand/water toys for Daniel
Camp chairs (I would buy quality, but we do live in ours a lot of the year as we take them everywhere)
Gas cooker
Melamine plates
Cutlery
Kettle
Fold up table/chairs
Bowl for washing up/sponge baths
Big bottle to store drinking water
20L water container to have water on tap if needed
Pegs and line for washing
Washing stuff (powder, brush etc)
River shoes if needed
Torches and batteries
matches
Wet day activities
Safe for food
Chilli bins and pads
Longlife milk (doesn't have to be refrigerated much)
Tea and coffee stuff
Extra plastic bags for keeping dirty stuff separate

Big bowl/bucket for washing the dishes in or carrying them to the camp kitchen to wash them

First aid kit - creams for bites etc
Camping shower
Toilet tent
Spare rope for makeshift washing line
Gazzebo/shade thingie - great if it rains
Spare tarpolins
Chairs/table

Wouldn't have thought of the lantern. The only time I've been camping recently we were doing it rough lol. Camp fire, one fry pan and sleeping bags under the stars!

Depends where your camping, but something to cook on? EG a wee bbq thing with 2 burners? One of the ones that fold up? Or a wee gas cooker? We found even at places with kitchens, it was easier to have this.

A decent camping lantern. We have a really good one thats actually from Kathmandu (I don't usually like their stuff but this one is really good! Was a good price on sale too!)

Tongs fish slice etc for cooking with, a can opener (not sure if you would have thought of this with cutlery, I know its usually the stuff we forget! We have spares now that we never use, are simply for camping and its really handy!

Camp chairs? Although you can pick these up for super cheap, even from the warehouse...

I haven't been camping for more than a night since I was maybe 10 and I can't really remember what we took with us. We are trying to spend our money on things that are actually gonna get used this year and part of that is me looking out for camping gear.

For those that camp regularly what are the basics we would need? or what have I left off my list baring in mind that we wanna be sorted for places that don't necessarily have any facilities..

- tent
- sleeping bags
- some kind of matress, whether a roll or airbeds
- chilly bin
- plates, bowls, cutlery etc
- cooking stuff like fry pan
- shower

And now I'm having a brain fart.
