Probably one of the most important things if you have no facilities lol<br /><br />Tent<br />Mattresses<br />Blankets (inc blanket for under and on top of the airbed if you have one, as the air goes really cold overnight)<br />Sand/water toys for Daniel<br />Camp chairs (I would buy quality, but we do live in ours a lot of the year as we take them everywhere)<br />Gas cooker<br />Melamine plates<br />Cutlery<br />Kettle<br />Fold up table/chairs<br />Bowl for washing up/sponge baths<br />Big bottle to store drinking water<br />20L water container to have water on tap if needed<br />Pegs and line for washing<br />Washing stuff (powder, brush etc)<br />River shoes if needed<br />Torches and batteries<br />matches<br />Wet day activities<br />Safe for food<br />Chilli bins and pads<br />Longlife milk (doesn't have to be refrigerated much)<br />Tea and coffee stuff<br />Extra plastic bags for keeping dirty stuff separate<br /><br />Can't think of more atm. I'll find my camping notebook and have a look.]]>

EG a wee bbq thing with 2 burners? One of the ones that fold up? Or a wee gas cooker? We found even at places with kitchens, it was easier to have this.<br /><br />A decent camping lantern. We have a really good one thats actually from Kathmandu (I don't usually like their stuff but this one is really good! Was a good price on sale too!)<br /><br />Tongs fish slice etc for cooking with, a can opener (not sure if you would have thought of this with cutlery, I know its usually the stuff we forget! We have spares now that we never use, are simply for camping and its really handy!<br /><br />Camp chairs? Although you can pick these up for super cheap, even from the warehouse...<br /><br />Brain fart here aswell. Thats all I can think of!]]>

We are trying to spend our money on things that are actually gonna get used this year and part of that is me looking out for camping gear. <br /><br />For those that camp regularly what are the basics we would need? or what have I left off my list baring in mind that we wanna be sorted for places that don't necessarily have any facilities..<br /><br />- tent<br />- sleeping bags<br />- some kind of matress, whether a roll or airbeds<br />- chilly bin<br />- plates, bowls, cutlery etc<br />- cooking stuff like fry pan<br />- shower<br /><br />And now I'm having a brain fart.<br /><br />I'm just gonna collect these things over the year by keeping an eye out on trademe for good deals.]]>
