But she was wrong. lol. I was actually disappointed that my labour started the same way the second time because with my first baby, labour didn't progress so they had to induce me with the drip the following day and it turned out to be a horrible birth with complications.

It happened again the second time, labour didn't progress so had to be induced with the drip the following day. Way better birth though with no complications, and a much smaller baby. lol.

My son was 3 days late and my daughter was 2 days early.

With Ben I was having contractions all afternoon but mistook them for BH . I didn't cotton on till I had a show late evening (didn't have one with Jack), waters broke a few hours later and it was all on, FAST!

Sorry to burst your bubble! I had the same thoughts/hopes as you

My first started with my (hind) waters breaking in the early morning, contractions not starting until lunchtime, not getting established until 2pm and then my DD1 wasn't born until about 13 hours after that.

With my DD2 I started getting these odd sensations of pressure in my pelvis that were quite different to what I remembered the early contractions being like last time, so much so that I didn't believe I was in labour until things were well established. All up it was just under two hours from woah to go, and my waters didn't break until DD2's head was being born. All I can say is that it was a good thing we planned a homebirth anyway, as we wouldn't have made it to hospital!
