How many kids did you see yourself having ?
3, I think that is because I was one of 3

have you , for whatever reason , ended up with less than you thought you would ?
do you mind ?
or are you happy with what you have ? I ended up with 2 and I am glad now I have the 2, another 1 I think would been too hard forus

Did you end up with more than you thought you would
Did it take a while to adjust to the idea of more than you planned ? doesn't apply to me

did you have an idea of what you would have, eg ,all boys, all girls, one of each etc
and , how right were you ?
or have you been so far ?
I wanted a girl at first, but now I am really happy I have 2 boys. I think it is more for the issues I have that we now have worked out are passed down to the girls and I didn't want to put my girl through all of that.

How many kids did you see yourself having ?
I guess I had always thought of having 3, a boy then tow girls

Have you , for whatever reason , ended up with less than you thought you would ? Well at the moment we have 2. The plan is to stick to that although I am finding it incredibly difficult. Time will tell I guess.
Do you mind, or are you happy with what you have ? I do loving having 2 girls, it makes so much sense, DH and I having one each to sort out, passing down and sharing everything, fitting normally in our house... But then there's that other part of me that pictures our family all grown up and having just 2 kids doesn't seem enough, I was one of 4.

Did you end up with more than you thought you would
Not at the moment although I ended up with them a lot sooner than I thought I would, I often wonder if I had had them later weather it would be easier to have more. Being able to be ready to and stop for a while to make babies, Having already saved up some money so we could afford more and to be able to afford a home big enough.

did you have an idea of what you would have, eg ,all boys, all girls, one of each etc and , how right were you ? I had always thought 1 boy 2 girls but after having my first baby girl I could only ever see myself with girls. Boys still scare me! None!!! DH or DP as he was then & I were loving life & had said we are too selfish for kids...Hmmm so we're at 2 so far!!!!

I think I'm not happy with what I've got. I think if I was I wouldn't be thinking of babies.

Ummmm yes....termination did cross our minds very briefly but we were glad of the opsy cause otherwise we would have realised too late that we actually did want kids.

It was predicted, based on family trends, that we'd have a boy first! DH's family were so convinced that they bought us blue stuff. My Mum was sure I'd have a boy but I guess I "took" after Dad's side who had girl boy girl.

We're at 1 so far, TTC #2. I would still love 4, would be happy with 3. DH wants to stop at 2. Still working on that one!

I had a feeling that C was a boy from very early on. I would have loved a girl first (I'm the oldest) but I can't even imagine it any more. I really don't mind whether I have 4 boys or 1 boy and 3 girls... there's not a lot of girls on DH's side of the family though so it could well be 4 boys if we do have 4 kids!

I come from a family of eight, and we did the boy, girl, boy, girl thing too, right the way down! I really enjoyed growing up in a bigger family, but wasn’t sure I wanted quite that many myself! We hadn’t really given it a lot of thought, though.

Since this one was so hard to bring about, we’re re-thinking our plans. We kind of can’t count on needing an operation for endo every time we want a baby, so the Dr can drill my ovaries while she’s in there (which is what bought this one on) and the operation just for the drilling is about as much as IVF (which has a better chance really).

So, excepting miracles (which I know can happen), more children for us is pretty finance-dependant! If we decided we had the money, I would probably choose to adopt, rather than spend it on IVF, since we’ll have one wee baba, and I’ll have experienced being pregnant (which I really really wanted to do), and there are so many kids in other countries who need homes, it’s just such an expensive process.

Not yet, but I did say during my pregnancy I wasn't sure that I would have anymore, I still get scared about having another pregnancy like my last one but then I look at Lexie and it is all worth it, Probably wont be trying for 3 now though unless it is twins next time round!

I knew Lexie was a girl from just before my 12 week scan, I did start to doubt myself for a couple of weeks but not long, my first words when finding out she was a girl was... Haha I was right!

When I was little & before I know where babies came from or what you had to do to get them

I wanted 4, 2 boys & 2 girls. Then when I found out more I wanted 2, a boy first & then a girl.

What I got was 3 boys & I love them to bits. I still want a girl & I know DH would love a daughter so we will give it a go this year.

I don't mind if I have another boy if I am lucky enough to have another.

Yep, but happy with what we have. Can't help feel like the family is incomplete though.

Ok I'm going to answer as best as I can considering I'm still pregnant with my first

but I like these sort of things

When I was little I always wanted 4 - 2 girls and 2 boys, as I got older it changed to none, now I'm pregnant I've decided at least 2, although my mum wants 10 grandkids and I'm an only child

but dp and I always joke bout having 10...

Finding out I was pregnant was a shock, probably because there had been a couple of time where dp and I hadn't been careful but I never got pregnant so it was like

My grandma had a dream of me and me as a baby crawling on the stairs - before I told her I was pregnant. I always thought it was a girl - just didn't feel like a boy IYGWIM, Dp was dead certain it was a boy so I started to believe it more for his sake than mine lol.

I had always wanted three - boy, girl, boy - but at the moment I'm just aiming for two and will then reassess! I would love to have three but by the time I've had number two my age will be creeping up so will see how I go!

I always thought I'd have two always wanted a son and a daughter, but as its taking longer than I planned to conceive #1 and I'm getting even older, chances are we may only have one, and I'd be overjoyed with that. Who knows I've got 3.5 years till I'm 40 so fitting in a 2nd is still possible.
Don't really care on the gender anymore either, gotten less picky as I've gone on.

No really they are more prone to dramatics, but they are pretty special .
As are boys .

As I said I've always pictured myself with 3, a girl , a boy and a girl , I think its cos I come from a family of 3, and the girl boy girl theme goes back about 6 generations on my mums side (my dads is the youngest of three boys, and I already have C who is def not a boy , so I don't take after that side )

In saying that , of course I don't mind if I have girl and two boys, and, if we have an "oopsy " further down the track then I will be happy having four .

Have always imaginged myself having 2 - think becuase I came from a family of 2 kids, so it's what I know. DH felt the same luckily, so we have our two and DH is booked in for his first appt to discuss getting the snip.

So now we have 2 and we are happy!! Also feel lucky that we had one of each, tho sometimes I get scared at what they might be like when they grow up...

We always agreed 2 was a good number, and the only thing was that we were so sure we would have boys! Just because there doesn't seem to be a lot of girls on either DH or my sides..

Yes, we love that we have 2 girls

. Even DH who originally wanted at least one boy is happy they are both girls. Of course if we had any other combination I'm sure that would be fantastic too

I always thought I wanted four, all girls. Jack ruined that lol I think its because I only have sisters I never imagined having a boy but now I have one I wouldn't change him for the world (most of the time...).

After having Caprece I never wanted another but now she is older I think about having more. In saying that I'm single so I don't think I can really say either way if I would have more or not it depends on what happens down the track. I thought I would have 4 kids. 2 with a 4-5 year gap and then another 2.

I am stopping at 2 now and am happy with that most of the time. I had always planned on starting having my babies at around 23 so 4 fitted in nicely but didn't have my first until 27 so have gone off that idea.

Before I had kids I thought I would have one of each but while pregnant with both I knew they were boys and I was right. I think if I did have another 1 or 2 I would end up with more boys.
