He was on solids, still BF and not crawling (started crawling the night we got home). I took a portacot, heaps of extra blankets, his buggy, a picnic blanket with a few toys, nappies and wipes, jars of baby food then supplemented with sandwhiches, fruit etc that we were having. I didn't bother bathing him, just topped and tailed.

I packed too many clothes but better too much than not enough. The only mistake I made was taking baby food he had not tried before as he didn't like it so ended up living off sandwhiches, bananas and muesli bars. A polar fleece sleeping sack with a few layers underneath it was absolutely essential as it did get cold overnight.

Our trip will have running cold water & a toilet block & my partners parents (who we are going with) take a shower tent & have a generater to hook up to power when we need it.
I will be taking the exersaucer too as Jessica loves it, and she loves to be upright too
I'm looking forward to it & excited about going (especially as we get closer to it), just worried Jessica won't sleep and will be grumpy, or that I'll forget something we need. If worst comes to worst we'll put her in the car and go for a drive as she always sleeps in the car.

We have just got back from 10 days freedom camping and that's what we did.

Take a picnic rug to put her on and lots of wee toys that you can clip onto things (like your camp chair). Ava loved the trees so she ended up lying under them a lot and watching the leaves move.

Honestly, if you have amenities, you'll be fine. We have no running water, no toilets (we take them with us) and no barrier between us and the river (our tent peg actually goes into the river bank) and despite Ava waking more, as it was a lot lighter and colder at night, both kids did well. (We even took the exersaucer for her as she needs to be upright - felt like a real nob this year!)

The main part I'm worried about is her day sleeps and there will be other kids around and she normally wakes to load noises (like kids squelling), also worried about the heat in the tent for her day sleeps too. Hopefully she'll be ok tho.
I've made a massive long list so I'm pretty sure I'll end up taking far too much stuff, lol.
The chilly bin idea is a good idea, I hadn't thought of that (saves me trying to think of what to take as a bath as we've sold her baby bath now).
She slept wonderfully, despite the drunks around the tent at 2am lol.
