I would personally wait until he has had a couple of morning when he has woken up with a dry night nappy. I have read you can't really night train them as such, just need to wait they are ready. Ella is daytime TT, but still wakes up with a very wet nappy in the morning, so am happy to just leave until she is a bit older.

In regards to going out, we just wear knickers and I try and get her to go to the toilet before we go out, otherwise i was just ask while we are out if she needs to go. Have never had any accidents while we are out and she seems to have to really good bladder control so will often wait until we get home.
