Which is fine if you're using them to stew up or something, but means you can't just defrost a plum and eat it like that. I tend to stew fruit first, then freeze it (technically, I guess I could save freezer-space by jarring it, but haven't done that before). <span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Hopes</span>]]>

You could make it into a puree and freeze it the same as you do with apple, but then it is only really going to be suitable for pies/crumbles or over cereal I think.]]>

Id preserve them or make them into jam (you can freeze them if you are just gona make jam as they become quite mushy and watery)<br />]]>

I am pretty sure I cooked the peaches and froze them in a sugar syrup. It definitely wasn't as straightforward as just freezing them. I also preserved them in jars with a sugar syrup. Very fiddly but they did taste nice in the middle of winter! <br /><br />I think I followed the advice in the Edmonds cookbook <br /><br />You must be able to freeze avocado as Wattie's do a guacamole that is frozen don't they?<img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ]]>
