It was a baby mouse and she played with it for over an hour. What a meany she is! I didn't know she had a mouse in her mouth until she started making that urgent meowing that cats do and looked at her and worked out why. Boy did she get pissed off when our boy cat took an interest in the mouse, she was growling at him hardcore and giving him the evils! LOL! This is the first time she has ever brought a 'present' inside and I've had her for over 2 yrs. She used to have a bell too, but she is very good at making bells disappear or else making both the bell and collar disappear.

I rang the local vet who said it is probably because all the baby birds were born round spring and they're just learning to fly etc so they are easy target for the cats... Don't know if that helps you much, maybe you could try keeping your cat inside?

She has worn a collar with a bell on it since she was born because I didn't want this sort of thing happening but I'm guessing even with the bell she is just too quick. Any ideas to why she is doing this and how we can stop it? At the moment whenever she brings something in we growl, and DP gets rid of whatever it is! Any ideas much appreciated!

TIA
