Why do babies need bread anyway? It has no "bits" in it, but is one of the darker types of bread. I still consider wheatmeal white.<br />The whole whit bread thing seems to be a New Zealand thing. I northern Europe lots of people seem to give their babies darker bread.<br />And I agree with Bizzy, she seems to gum it more than she actually eats it.<br />She LOVES rice wafers though and eats lots of those. ]]>

They had white to start with for a few weeks but then I moved them onto wheatmeal. <br /><br />Even now with Sophie I can tell if she had eaten my bread (Vogels). TMI - it takes about 6 hours to re-appear <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley11.gif" border="0"> and the bits just go straight through. <br /><br />ETA - both of my girls LOVE my Vogels though.
