Your dr will be able to tell in 10 seconds if it is bacterial or viral.

If bacterial the right course of antibiotics will start working in 12 hours, if viral you just have to wait it out.

You could also maybe try some home made ice blocks for him just made from pureed fruit? or would he even suck on ice cubes? Are you wanting alternatives to oral pamol or oral alternatives for throat meds?

My sister swears by pamol suppositories (for her kids). Jackson's been not well the last couple of days. He's not eating, which doesn't surprise me, but I am not 100% sure what is wrong.

I am guessing he might have a sore throat as he seems to have problems swallowing, but he doesn't have much appetite either, so perhaps he feels sick too.
