She was on the highest dose for her weight tho, and we had monthly appointments with the paediatrician to check her progress.<br /><br />And I agree about it being hereditary. When diagnosing lil miss, the paed asked me if I had reflux during preg (yes) and if she hiccuped a lot in utero (yes).]]>

Made the mistake of having some the other day and it was NOT a pleasant evening. But he still wasn't refluxy at all.<br /><br />I think you just have to take your chances if you want another one. All in all, you only have to get through the reflux for 6 months or so (although getting Chloe on solids involved mass amounts of vomiting as well, thank goodness Ollie seems to be having no trouble!)]]>

She was a terrible feeder as well and hated breastfeeding. When I got pregnant again when she was only 4 months old I had a mental breakdown! I didn't want anymore kids after dealing with Chloe!!<br /><br />BUT  Ollie has been a dream baby. He only spilt occasionally, like normal babies do, and was contented and happy. He was so easy, I really loved it! And we didn't have any feeding issues with him. <br /><br />And he is a boy, and was born a few weeks earlier than Chloe was.<br /><br />I think every baby is different, it may be more likely to get another reflux baby if it's hereditary, but thank goodness we had a good scenario.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=207">Maya</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 30080<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 23 November 2009 at 7:15pm<br /><br />Maya didn't have reflux at all, the next three all had it quite severely.<br /><br />The big difference was that with the gremlins, we didn't really know what we were dealing with - I felt quite overwhelmed and they weren't on the right doses of meds etc. so the first few months with them were pretty traumatic (they once screamed for 20 out of 24 hours non-stop between them <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0">).<br /><br />So when lil miss was born, and started showing reflux signs at around 3 weeks, I took a really proactive approach - took her to a paediatrician who specialises in reflux, made sure she was on the right dose of Losec for her weight and adjusted it as she grew, and experimented with adjusting my diet. I think her reflux may have been worse than the gremlins coz we weren't able to wean her off the Losec til she was nearly one, but it definitely worked coz she had no symptoms at all pretty much when she was on it.]]>

Maddi never ever had a problem with it at all. She seemed so easy compared to Keira and I finally realised what it was like to have a normal baby. I think it would be much harder to have a reflux baby second.]]>

But I can't imagine any baby giving me as a hard a time as Jackson did. I tell myself it's only GOT to get better!]]>

And if so - was the reflux just as severe?
