And it's quite yummy!

Manufacturing Food Database has an extensive database of foods that she can search.

I remember going dairy-free when BFing Jake but it didn't change my diet much just what I drank. Wasn't particularly easy though so hope they find something that works!!

    Author: FionaS
Subject: 29937
Posted: 16 November 2009 at 11:59am

I have a friend whose baby has been diagnosed (via stool tests) as allergic to lactose. At this stage, they are trying her on a dairy free diet to reduce the lactose in her milk (as obviously BM is high in lactose anyway) to see how he goes. He is gaining weight well but horrendously unsettled.

She is losing loads of weight as she's cut out anything with any trace of milk protein and soy protein. She is very very slim anyway so is worried her milk will suffer.

Anyone got any good, filling ideas of things she can have other than fruit, veg, meat, nuts, rice, pulses etc? Any good / yum products out there?
