Hayden always wakes up wanting booby and is very upset until and I go and get him (yes he is 15mths and loves his morning booby still <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0"> <br /><br />This morning it was 5.30am but his PJ's were a bit wet from the silly nappy, it is usually 6am sometimes 6.30am and every now and again 7am NEVER EVER been 8am <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0">  He is asleep in bed at 7pm 90% of the time.<br /><br />Oooh CuriousG that is hard, when you put Cam back to bed after his 4am feed you have less than 2hrs sleep til you have to get up for the day <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley12.gif" border="0"> <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley12.gif" border="0"> <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley12.gif" border="0">  I take my hat off to you, you are a mummy legend <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley10.gif" border="0">  I cant even fathom how I'd cope with that but then you just do I guess, now if I get woken once in the night I feel like death but it was only this time last year when it was twice a night every night and I survived <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0"> ]]>

They would wake around 6:30am and I would let them in their cots until I was ready to get them. When I got up I would chuck books into them while I got my coffee.<br /><br />Now the sides are off the cots I have to go in to separate the squabbling over books <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley6.gif" border="0"><br /><br />We had a 5:30 start from Aoife today. *yawn* <br />But most days now it's 6am - 6:30am and this is after them settling for the night at 8pm!<br /><br />Roll on the end of teething season!]]>

I would dearly love it to be later but I can't make her sleep when she isn't tired.  Its 6am on the dot every morning at the moment, I think with lighter mornings its not helping but I have accepted it and am getting up when she does.  Looking at the positive of it, I am up, dressed and breakfasted before Cam wakes up as he usually feeds about 4amish and then sleeps until 7.30-8am most mornings.]]>

Anything before that gets treated like night time (lights stay off and no getting out of the cot).  I let C sleep till whenever he likes though - we've had a few 8.30 sleep ins on the odd occasion!  Bliss!  Our bedrooms are really dark in this house so I find it really hard to wake up in the mornings.  In our old place 7am was easy coz the sun would come up and I would be wide awake. Hubby is gone from the house early at the weekends so it just me and bub.  Sometimes she is awake but others we need to wake her which I hate.  Bed at nights is between 8-8.30pm she is like the little energizer bunny!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Bubs is 13 months.  ]]>

She usually then sleeps til 7.30 sometimes.]]>

She can hear the birds and see the light over the top of them. <br />But if she starts to get ratty we just go in, lie her down (without talking) kiss her and say "night night".<br />She usually stays put until 6:30 then play happily.<br />The last couple of mornings she's woken at 6:30 and played happily (ie: destroyed her bedroom) until I go in at 7. ]]>

She's now going till 6.30/7 which is great. One of the sleep books I have says that 6am is a very common wakeup time for babies/toddlers, and often there's nothing that can be done about it. Hopefully it's a phase, but I would say you might have to accept it. <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0"> ]]>

If Maya gets up before 7 she turns the TV on quietly in the lounge, and the gremlins almost never wake till I get up coz we co-sleep so they stay put until I disturb them when I'm getting up.<br /><br />Lil miss usually sleeps till just after 7am, altho this week we've had a few early starts. I usually lie in bed and listen to her chattering on the monitor until it becomes insistent and turns to an "ok mum, I'm over this, come and get me" kind of grizzle.]]>

Might be worth a try if you want to shift their wake up times?  <br /><br />We already bought new curtains so I was thinking we might just buy the black out material and stick it over the curtains to see if it does the trick once the baby gets here and he's in his own room (curtains in our room keep it quite dark).]]>

I find if he goes to bed at the same time he sleeps longer but if by some miracle he's had a sleep during the day, he is up till 9-10PM and then he wakes up at 5-6AM!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strange child.<br /><br />For some reason, the magical time in my head is 7:30AM for him to wake up and I am ok with that, but any earlier and I am grumpy for a while.  <br /><br />Not much fun when my DPs alarm goes off and EVERYBODY gets woken up except for him!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Which means Sam and I are up and he's still snoring away.  <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif" border="0"> <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif" border="0"> ]]>

At the moment it is Maddi who is waking at 6:30 (this morning 6) no matter what time we put her to bed which ends up waking Keira too.<br /><br />It is so hard when its a habit to get them to sleep any longer. When Keira was little if she ever got into the habit of waking before 7 we would try throwing her whole routine out so we could reestablish a slightly more reasonable wake up time. Like having a really late night, a really busy day or throwing in a day sleep (or not).]]>
