Also if the baby teeth aren't there it can affect how the big teeth come through.

Better to be safe!

    Author: Aroz
Subject: 29856
Posted: 11 November 2009 at 1:42pm

Just last night I was inspecting my babys teeth as her top teeth are just coming through and I noticed a black spot at the back of her front tooth. I'm wondering if I should take her to see a doctor or dentist as I looked online and read that it is usually caused by bottle rot except my baby is still breastfed and uses a sipper cup for water. She always falls asleep on the breast though and I wonder if this could cause the problem too? I was about to wean her onto a bottle and now I'm unsure if it will make the problem worse or not. She also has been on lactulose for a while as she suffers from constipation and as it is quite syrupy and sweet thought maybe this could contribute to tooth decay too? Everyone else I talk to doesnt seem too concerned though as they seem to think first teeth aren't as important as they fall out anyway. I know this isn't the case but it keeps making me think maybe Im worrying too much. Has anyone else had this problem with their babys teeth and how was it fixed?
