They always happen prior to Ov but you can have one and then not ov... generally though you get a positive on an OPK 12-48 hours before ov so you know to BD like crazy if you get a pos

You are probably best to get a themometer though if you have irregular cycles at times and then you can confirm ovulation with a sustained temp increase...

Come join us in the charting thread have you had a look on fertility friend it gives you heaps of info on charting

I am feeling like I have wasted money on this test - I think I may look into a basal thermometer. My little one is just over a year and unfortunately I wasn't able to BF. My cycles on average are around 5-7 days, I have noticed that they are pretty regular at the moment but I can also go for 6-7 weeks without one! I want to figure this all out (today off course) as it took me ages to conceive last time I was almost of to see the Infertility docs but managed to get pregnant (in part due to losing weight), I think I am just wanting it to happen as I am feeling maybe it won't.

How olds ya wee one? are you still BFing? I'm guessing from what you say you've had a few cycles already? how long have they been?

Also if your TCC you can get much cheaper OPKs than clearblue if you shop online
