Turns out its E Coli! which is an infection from fecal matter... the nurse said it'll be from the poo in his nappy getting into his penis.

Heya, Kitkat, it's not 'fresh' wee... It stays there and never soaks in.
I went to the Dr today, and he said it could just be a bit of sediment hanging around (?!) and not to worry, but he made me take a urine sample to Labtests just to double check there isn't anything wrong, so it's not really anything to worry about atm.

When you say dark patches.... could it be cos he has 'just' peed?? I notice that w Locks sometimes- and discovered it was that.... it hadnt soaked into the surrounding material yet. I dunno- just a thought.... update us after the doc visit? Yeah, at first I thought it might be dehdyration, but he feeds fine and all his nappies are wet. He has been waking lots in the night (between 10pm-7am), I think 4mo do that a lot because they are a bit hungry.

DS is 4 months old now, and just this last week I have noticed, in 2 of his MCN nappies, that where his penis is on the nappy, there are darker patches, like his penis is leaking out a darker fluid? or something?
I wasn't too worried about it first time, but today he had the 2nd one, and now I'm a bit concerned about what it could be.
I think I'll take him to the Dr on Monday and just get him checked out.
