I have been told tha the normal copper ones you do have more bleeding to begin with.</P>]]>

It was heavy but it did settle down after 3-4 AF's.  It was always a bit heavier than it was pre IUD though.  I would give it another couple of months before making a decision about whether or not its bearable.  <br /><br />ETA - at first I would fill a tampon to the point of it falling out within an hour.  After 3-4 AF's that settled down to every 3 hours.<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by CuriousG</span>]]>

This is on day 4/5 of AF too.<br /><br />I use a mooncup (www.mooncup.co.uk) and it fills about 15mls in two hours or less.<br /><br />Those of you with IUDs, have you experienced your AF settling down? I'm getting married in exactly three AF's time and I'm scared - white dress n all! Considering going on pill, not that I wanted to use a hormonal method of contraception. But this bleeding is not cool at all, it's worse than post-labour.]]>
