I can't remember the names of them and my MW has all my test results.</P>]]>

They just need to be done in the first trimester some time. 8 weeks will be fine. You'll get another lot done at about 28 weeks I think.<br /><br />Just relax - your MW will explain it all to you at your visit. They tested iron, blood type, HIV, Hep etc etc]]>

They don't routinely check HCG levels (which is the numbers people sometimes post) and a one off HCG reading doesn't really tell a lot. <br /><br />Same with the scan, they aren't done at 8 weeks routinely unless there is miscarriage scare or some other 'abnormal' thing going on. Funnily enough the 12 weeks scan aren't  suppose to be 'routine' either but they kinda have become that way.]]>

I'm book for first mw visit during week 8 and will be getting them done then ... is this a bit late?<br /><br />Also, I know you can get a scan done at this stage too, although do you need to? I assume that if there is anything to worry about, it will show up in the blood tests so perhaps no need for a scan until week 13?<br /><br />]]>
