Apparently the GF affects estrogen, producing EWCM, and the PA makes the lining of your uterus stickier (aiding implantation)
The Robotussin, helps thin out the EWCM, so if yours is too thick you can take it. If you do you take it at full strength as if you have a bad cough. Label Directions: adults and children 12 years and over, 2-4 teaspoonsfuls every 4 hours. Do not take more than 6 doses in any 24 hour period. Consult label for accuracy, warnings, and ingredients. Active ingredient: Guaifenesin ONLY, do NOT get any type with other active ingredients or letters. There are other brands that have just the guaifensin in it (I had Vicks I think).

    Author: PixieL
Subject: 28424
Posted: 30 August 2009 at 5:38pm

Hi Buttersmum
So far I've picked up that when TTC you should do the things below. There are much stricter diets people go on but personally I'm not sure they work.
Take folic acid. (from doctor if u are going or about $15 from chemist)
Cut down on alcohol and coffee.
Don't smoke
Eat sensibly (reduce junk food, lots of veges etc)
Get your bmi down to the ideal range 20-25
Exercise
Don't undereat or overexercise

Other things that might help
Grapefruit juice and pinapple juice (One for EWCM one for implantation) Can't remember which is which cos I personally don't think they work
Robotussin (cough syrup!) for EWCM. I've not tried this!

When you are UTD don't eat anything that might give you food poisoning. Cold meat, sushi, food that's been sitting around in a cabinet all day. Eat healthy stuff and don't give in to your cravings to eat lots and lots and lots of really fattening junk food. Obviously no alcohol. No smoking. No more than one coffee a day. (Linked to MC) Lot's of websites talk about not eating cheese but NZ cheese is pasturised and therefore OK. No shellfish as high in mercury and can give you food poisoning. Stay away from things that are high in vitamen A as they can casue birth defects.
Hope that helps! I am by no means an expert so please feel free to correct anything I've written here!
