I think others have pretty well covered it...it's more an issue with your body needing the time to heal and the stress on your scar from labour.

I wouldn't stress too much, I'm sure your MW will make sure you are monitored and will give all the best advice. There have been several people I've known of with a small gap after a c-section and all has been ok.

Hey hun!

Dont worry!!

I thought I was pregnant when Caden was 4 months old, I got a positive test and called my MW, she said that the pregnancy isnt the issue, its the labour/contractions, and that I would need to have an elective c section most likely. I ended up getting period the next day so I think I had a very early m/c, anyways! I fell pregnant again when Caden was 5 1/2 months old and am not far off having bubs and after seeing the specialist I have the all clear for a VBAC

I would suggest having a good talk to your MW and tell her all your worries etc and ask heaps of questions, thats what i did, and when i saw the specialist he went through my notes from Cadens birth and he basicly told me that the risks are about the same whether I go for a natural or elective c section, so we are going with the VBAC and if baby isnt here by 41 weeks, an elective CS.

This pregnancy has been just as normal as Cadens, Ive had no issues with ym scar or anything, no pain down there, everything is very normal. My MW check ups are the same as with Caden, if I have any worries I tell her etc. During the labour, I will be monitered the entire time and all the emergency bits and bobs on stand by, but Im sure everything will go fine

They do reccomend waiting a year, but hey, me and lots of other ladies have fallen preg before a year and we are all fine and have healthy babies

We started trying to get pg when Spencer was 7 months and that was with the ok from the doc. My understanding is that it's not the pregnancy that is the issue it is the labour so they may not want you to try for a VBAC or they might let you but want to monitor you more closely, intervene more quickly than they would if it had been longer between c/s and VBAC.

I think you will have about the same gap as sheeza does so maybe talk to her and see what has happened with her so far....although she is nearly due!

I would, however, expect your midwife to monitor you and she may possibly suggest a few extra scans to check everything is going OK.

I am currently 7 weeks pregnant. I had an emergency C-section 3 months ago with the arrival of my son. (I know I fell pregnant very quickly).

My question is, am I or the baby at risk because I have fallen pregnant so quickly? Someone said that you have to wait a year after a section before falling pregnant. WHY?

I am worried, will I tear? will I do damage? I am not sure what to think!
Any advice?
