when I was shopping for my wedding dress, the dress maker said you can take in up to 2 dress sizes and let out up to 1 dress size, so if you are normally a 12 a 14 should be ample room to adjust to fit

Chelle - I agree with red, if you go bigger you can get it taken in easier etc, if you have only gained 6kgs you should be ok........FX

You can always get a bit of an idea from how your mum bounced back. talk to her about how quickly she mightve bounced back after having her first and it will give you an idea of your genes........not always true but the best idea

I have about 14 weeks to get slimmed down for a wedding after bubs. They insisted that i buy the dress when i was aobut 22 weeks pregnant i think, lucky my bump was still quite little and also that i havent particulary put on weight elsewhere. We brought a dress that is quite a strechy material and is flattering to the front (though not so much to the backside and hips will have to get some suck em in undies!) I brought my normal size, something to aim for to make sure it fits. I do have a month more than you though so don't push yourself in to fitting something too soon. i bought my wedding dress while pregnant. You could always get it altered closser to the date? and yes go slimming knickers lol!!! I was a size 12 prepregnancy and by my wedding date 16wks after henry i was a size 8. Theres always a good pair of super slimming knickers that hold any left over wobbly bits in lol. I think it depends a lot on how much you exercised before you were preggy and also whether you're going to be one of those people who loose weight BFing in terms of how quickly you'll 'bounce back'.

The place I found was most stable was the boobs so I would recommend working from roughly what you are now or maybe a size up. Ideally you need to get something that is easily altered.

And empire line or something similar is a good idea. Your bump will deflate but quite possibly you'll still look about 4/5 months preggie - sadly I did still after 10 weeks.

I put on about 12kgs throughout my whole pregnancy I am just slightly bigger because of my waist only by one size. In the next wee while I'm going shopping for a bridesmaid dress that I'll wear about 10 weeks after my baby is born. I have no idea how I'll look then so would love some opinions from you guys about realistically what I should go for.

Normally I'm a size 12, so I'm thinking to be on the safe size I should go for a 14. Is that being 'safe' enough? I've put on 6kg so far, so hopefully I'll won't go too much over the average weight gain - though again, I have no idea if I'm going to gain another 5 or 50kg. (Please not 50!)

What about baby bumps? Will it have deflated much in 10 weeks?

Hopefully I can get the girls to opt for flowing or empire type line dresses to give me a little lee way. What do you think?
