A cousin of mine has a bub 2 weeks older than Ashy, and they have turned to front facing already.. i'm definately not in a hurry to turn! So we get there, exhausted, it's pouring with rain and blowing a gail. There is my sister's car with a carseat just chucked on the back seat. <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif" border="0"> DH was ropable. We sorta worked it out, but it certainly didn't feel safe. There was nothing we could do though.<br />My parents said back in their day they used to just bung us babies in those cocoons and lie us on the back seat. After a few trips they learnt that when they braked hard, baby rolled onto the floor. So from then on we were put on the floor for car trips.<br /><br />Thanks for all the replies ladies, I will definatly hold out for as long as poss before turning Jody's seat. It says on the box that it can stay rear facing for up to 12kg.]]>

He was so much happier after i turned him around. He was around 11kg then and really tall. I would have happily waited till at least one if he had been happy enough though.]]>

I thought it was like a year old or more? I asked Jody's nurse today and she said I could do it now as Jody sits well and is over 8kg. Is it much safer to leave it for a few months?]]>
