(Well she's having a nap now and haven't heard her cough yet, yay!)]]>

But if they get to 2 and an inhaler is the only thing stopping the coughing, then its asthma.  He only gets it when sick though, so chances of growing out of it are high. (I think 10% of kids in NZ have it, but only 2% of adults).]]>

Eva coughs quite a bit even though she isn't sick, I thought it might be her reflux medication that was making her cough.... I so hope it isn't a sign of asthma as my DH had very sevre asthma as a baby and spent half his childhood almost in hospital.... eeek.]]>

If she is in a cot you could elevate the head part so she is a little more upright, thats what we do. You could elevate it a little bit if she is in the bassinett as well.<br />Also, saline drops to help thin and clear the muscus is good.]]>

The doc suggested we give her pamol to help her sleep, which works. <br />We've only needed to give her AntiBs once and that was a precaution rather than a full blown chest infection.<br /><br />Oh I hope it isn't a sign of asthma. DH has ideas of family holidays which are scuba diving centered.]]>

She doesn't seem to have a temperature and seems happy enough, but she went to bed 30mins ago, and we keep hearing her coughing, but when we check on her she's asleep! She coughs three or four times every few mins. Is it normal for a baby with a cold to cough in their sleep? (She caught the cold off me, except I haven't had a cough at all!)<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by rachel25</span>]]>
