Yip, I love Confident Baby Care by Jo Frost. Ditto- love this book. i got a couple of others out from the library, but this was the only baby book that I brought.

I agree that Baby Love by Robin Barker is great.

Also I quite liked Jo Frosts Confident Baby Care which is written by the Supernanny lady off TV. I loved Oh Baby by Kathy Fray. It was fantastic, covers all the baby stuff plus heaps of stuff about how you will feel post labour etc. She is quite straight to the point which i really liked. I can't rave about this book enough, I read the whole thing before Sophia was born and it was invaluable. Sophia is 8 months old now and I still won't loan it to anyone incase I need it!! I second the recommendation for Baby Love by Robin Barker. For general baby care it's fantastic, really does have everything. Definitely go have a look at your local library to see what kind of books you find interesting/easy to relate to. I really like Your baby & child, by Penelope Leach. They'll have it in the library. Try your local library, and get out heaps of them! That's what I did, and just read the parts of them that were good and applicable to me. Hi there
Can anyone recommend any good book(s) for first time parents?
Is reference types best? or perhaps such books as the 'baby whisperer'?
