I remember freaking out over the same thing when Maddi was little.
Turned out it was nothing to worry about (sounds pretty common in here) and it eventually just went away on its own.

My bubs had one too in the early months - the doctors rooms said it was there hormones - and not to worry. It's good to hear that other bubs have it too. I only went to the grumpy doc as I didn't want to leave it in case it was the start of a little infection.

That doc sounds like an arse, I hope your own doc can give you peace of mind.

I know Kayla had a whitehead pimple right in the middle of her nipple too when she was smaller, which was so weird, and it eventually popped but took a couple of weeks or so. Hiya,

Yep, we had a few problems but nothing medical really came of it aside from a dairy sensitivity and fatigue from lack of sleep. She's much better now which is great.

We have medical insurance for her so that would happen if it turned out to be something more serious, but I doubt that it is.

I think you guys are right in seeing my own GP. I'm sure he'll say the same thing but I think it's just my loathing for this other doc that is causing the problem. He just thinks i'm a neurotic mum but I only go to the doc if I'm concerned about something physical. Given, we have been to lots of docs and specialists but those visits were all based on good reasons. This doc even had the nerve to smirk at me when I said I couldn't BF. I just don't like him and don't trust his judgement as he misdiagnosed an allergy that Madelyn had to a specific medication. I have no idea about the problem myself, sorry, but I don't have much faith in many GP's either. I should also add that Plunket Line didn't know what it was. Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if anyone has come across this before.

Madelyn is 4 months old now. Her right nipple has become inverted with a white head pimple in the center. A firm mobile lump about the size of a small marble is directly behind the nipple.

I've taken her to the doc but couldn't get into see our GP as he is very popular. I got stuck with the other doc who I really have no respect for as he is not good with kids or concerned mothers. He didn't know what it was but said he thinks it's a hormonal thing that should clear in a few weeks but I need to be referred to a specialist if it hasn't gone within three months.

If this is correct then I'm happy as it's just one of those things and wont require any meds which is great. Problem is that I have no faith in his diagnosis and can only find info on hormones causing breast swelling in babies which I know is common and harmless. This is a solid lump and came up within a couple of days.

I'm thinking about booking in to see my normal GP again even if it makes me look a bit paranoid lol.
