I would recommend you use it as soon as you get up in the morning. I don't use it at any other time of the day to avoid possible contamination.  I get pretty good results this way i.e. they match my BBT.  A couple of times I have gotten partial ferning when I've had a few drinks the night before but I just ignored those two as it wasn't even close to the time I usually OV.  Hope that helps.]]>

I had a missed miscarriage on 4th May so no idea whats happening with my cycles atm.. started using the OM straight after the bleeding stopped and saw nothing till this Saturday, I used the OM in the afternoon and saw lots of ferns (after seeing none in the morning) and then the next day nothing again... I hadnt had anything to eat or drink 3 hours before like it says.. so  I carried on testing and no more ferns till last night... and then none again this morning.. maybe im using it wrong ?]]>
