Wow, thanks for sharing your amazing stories:) My u/s went well, we didn't want to find out the sex but just praying for a healthy baby:)...That's fantastic Kasbee! Please let me know how you get on and if you can bear sharing the nitty gritty detail I would love to hear it too! I have had 2 previous c-sections and with this baby i'm going to try for a natural delivery, not at home will be in hospital but thats fine with me i would feel safer in the hospital if anything were to go wrong. I have a wonderful, supportive MW and am really looking forward to the experience.

Hi there Ive had 2 home waterbirths after a emergency c-sec, caesar was due to induction-infection-faliure to progress-fetal distress. Hi ladies:)..had my first antenatal appointment with Ruth yesterday and it was great! Hi Toni, Mountaingoat and LeahandJoel:):)...I'm baaacckkk...last year I was on 3rdtymlucky but then had a m/c just on my 12th week...today I am 16 weeks and yet to have my first antenatal appointment due to being mucked about by Middlemore/Kidzfirst who my GP referred me to...but managed to find Ruth's (MW) details and am awaiting a call from her later today:)...

My first c-section was for induction, failure to progress & then fetal distress.... After 31 hours of labour. Alex was 9lb 2 born. My second was just failure to progress, Blaire was 9lb 4. #3 was my beautiful home waterbirth. Erika only weighed 8lb 15 but she had a bigger head. The MAIN difference was the different atmosphere, being at home really helped me relax & do what needed to be done. VBA2C is after 2 c secs and VBAC is after 1.

My MW was very supportive and after I saw OB at hosp and was told they would sign me off to have what ever birth I wanted I still really wanted a VBAC. Mine was not a lovely homebirth like toniellis but I had complications 10 days before he was born and was very likely having another cs anyway. Managed to avoid that but still had to have interventions. If there had been no complications then I would have been able to have more time at home etc instead of being monitored the whole labour.

My cs was because Leah was early and in distress and I only dialated 2cm after 12 hrs of concractions every 2 mins. Leah was taken straight to special care when she was born.

Yes it is possible. I had a home waterbirth VBA2Cs just about a year ago now. I am hoping to avoid medical intervention if at all possible for #2 when (and if) it happens! I just recall being so fuzzy in the head and not really with it, what with pethidine and epidural during the very long labour ...
