Like the others said, you just wear a jacket over to keep them warmer, wrap them in blankets etc. DS isn't too crazy bout the sling I bought (wish I would've bought a nicer one with better head support...) but I'd be using it if I could. I got a frontpack that will be well used once it arrives! (been waiting for ages it seems...)]]>

I usually would have her dressed warm, thermals, jerseys, and hat and mittens, and half the time I would end up having to strip her down, even right in the middle of winter. </P><P>If it were really cold I would often just throw a large jacket over top (mainly to keep me warm) And it worked fine.</P>]]>

He's always asleep so is not bothered by that, I keep my hand there as well to keep the air flowing. <br /><br />I also find it very easy to cart stuff around as I have two hands free & I can also eat quite comfortably with him on me as well. <br /><br />eta: It's super comfy, you keep warm as well & no aches & pains & it feels just like being pregnant as well <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> Plus you can breast feed in it.<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Aliasmum</span>]]>

She'd just snuggle in (I'd also dress her in layers, obviously). If we were going to be outdoors for a length of time I'd have a blanket over us, too.<br />But when indoors she was warm enough against my chest. ]]>

I would just tuck her head under one of the side flaps so all that was exposed was a tiny bit of her nose and mouth and that was she was all nice and snuggly.]]>

It's great, cause she gets my body warmth against her front, the jacket over her back, but her head is not covered by the jacket, so she won't suffocate. (I do put her little merino hat on, as her head is sticking out of the jacket)<br /><br />]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=19433">monikah</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 26399<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 08 May 2009 at 11:15am<br /><br />nah its a great idea. i did it with my neice when i was looking after her and the cold isnt a problem, they keep pretty toastie if you wrap them up well and cover them in blankets although once they are too big to lie down in there and have little feet or heads protruding they can lose alot more body heat so if it was absolutely freezing and you had to be outside for a long time im not sure, depends how cold it gets where your from. i still have no solution to the rain though, never quite figured that one out. lol. if your only doing short runs between building in the rain you could just cover it but if your walking round the block or any reasonable distance it might wet the material causing bubs to get chilled. ill be using a sling for my boy too because i find buggies bulky and a pain in the bum but if the weather is really bad its probably the better option]]>
