We conceived via me lying down and as lilfatty said enjoy the view  

I also went to sleep with a pillow under my hips

Another thing we did the one time after 6 months of TTC, and then we conceived may be coindence but who knows.... that we heard about was "sperm competition" - may be TMI....but appartenly when a guy is in a long term relationship with no chance of needing to compete with other guys to impregnate his sperm number decreases rah rah, so him watching a visual of guy/girl whoopee and seeing ummm "sperm competition..." causes a increase in his sperm number to then "compete"......I didn't believe it first, thought my DP friend was just joking but then when I looked it up online there was actually articles & reseach about it.....so yeah we gave it a go, figured why not and got something to watch that we would both enjoy.......

After years of infertility I conceived my son when I was on top. It was the only time we did it that month too as we had DPs dad staying with us and limited opportunities to have couple time, so I definately know that was when it happened. Hmmm (TMI) but I had really good orgasm that time so maybe that helped. We didn't bother with the woman on top thing when TTC...always missionary or doggy (sorry tmi). For the reasons Tauris gave (deep penetration).  Also, I stayed lying down with a pillow under my hips for 20 minutes or so. Seemed to work. I got a book out of the library, fertility facts and being on top is "just as likely to get you pg as any other position that allows deep vaginal penetration by the penis"

Oh and they are also not sure that a woman having an orgasim helps but seeing as when woman orgasim their uterus contracts and causes a vaccum effect it may help the swimmers

As for on top I wouldn't know how I conceived J or mcs lol none were planned. We conceived these two in one of two positions (far far TMI!!!). lol t_Rex! ... those wee spermies can swim pretty damn quickly! I'm pretty sure woman-on-top isn't a reliable form on contraception so I'm pretty sure it can happen! Well the two times that I tried to get pg were different (yep Im one of the lucky ones where it takes one time as my egg leaps onto any passing sperm).

When we conceived Issy .. (he had been away for a long time) .. we did it in every conceivable position

When we conceived Elias .. Has anyone you know got pregnant with being on top during sex or you yourself

Sorry if that is TMI

To me I dont think it mattters as long as the sperm gets to the egg then that is good enough

Or is it just an old wives tale that you cant get pregnant if the women is on top a myth
