I thought Jake was teething and I still think he is but was rather worrie when he got up from his nap today with a temp of 39.8! Turns out he has a virus too. Can I suggest a tiny, tiny, tiny bit of medijel? Its not acutally for children but you can use it in very small amounts and it will numb the area for about 5 hours. We used it when Dom was cutting his first molars and the gums ended up completely shredded. Jack is cutting his last one now, thank goodness. He doesn't have as much pain but did wake frequently through the night sometimes. We have an amber necklace (can't be 100% if it works) and ibuprofen works well. Neurofin for kids and this homoeopathic teeth med spray is doing the trick for my little one. Oh and when she complains they are really bad the fever kool n soothe ice pad are really great you can cut to any shape and slap them on and they cool the area. Seems to give her relief. Oh no, she must have what my Briona had recently. She was particularly miserable! As for the 2yo molars, Kryssi is getting these through atm also, and has a temperature with them (38.4 this afternoon) - I think it's the first time any of my girls have had a temp with teething so here's hoping there's nothing else causing it. Update; took Ella to the doctors this afternoon and in addition to her molars coming through (doc could see the bumps) it appears the poor thing also has Hand,foot and mouth and her mouth is covered in ulcers......which explains why it is so sore for her. Poor little thing....at least it explains why she hasn't been sleeping, unfortanutely there wasn't that much she could do apart from increasing the dosage of pamol.

Daniels are moving around but pamol seems to fix it so far. Only had one night where he woke up and as soon as he was given pamol he went back to sleep. I could have written this post. We have 2 of them through so far thank goodness, but they are certainly causing problems. Sam has dropped her day sleeps completely so I can't comment on them, but she has had nights where she has woken constantly crying and screaming. She puts everything in her mouth possible and is generally grumpy and miserable!
Oh and we have had slight temps with these teeth too.

So, I think Ella is cutting her 2 year old molars, as she keeps on telling me that her mouth hurts and points to where the molars would come up and there is a slight bump there. However despite being dosed up on pamol, and ibupofen and taking the teething powder (have tried bonjela and a teething spray before but they don't work for us) she is still in a lot of pain and at night is waking up every 1 1/2 hrs crying and won't sleep longer than 45 mins during the day and every time she tries to eat something she takes a bit and then starts crying that it hurts. This has gone on 3 days now........

Just wondering is this normal for these molars? I have heard that they are most painful, but it just seems really bad for her and the fact that both pamol and ibupofen aren't working (or at least they are, but she is still in enough pain to wake her up) has me a bit worried.

Anyone, so just wanting to see if any other toddlers have had this much pain for these molars? am trying to figure out if it worth a trip to the doctors just in case something is wrong (she did had a slight temp on Sun, but doesn't anymore).
