So I think I am preg again!!!! Hasn't even been quite 4 weeks yet since my mc but I woke up 2 nights ago with really sore boobs. I decided I would do a test just to see if anything would show. It didn't...the test was negative but am guessing its just too soon to know. So I'll just be playing the waiting game!

Just to let everyone know, I started this thread after my MC last month and now I am BFP again!! This one feels so much more positive.........the symptoms are stronger and i got a BFP 8DPO, whereas my other i only got a positive 15DPO.

I've had 2 m/cs - the first was fairly traumatic and we had to wait 3 months before TTC again and when we did, we got a BFP straight away.   The second was pretty straight forward and our Obstetrician said he is happy for us to TTC again as soon as we felt ready - so we are. According to him there is little medical research to support the theory that if you got pregnant before you'd one cycle it increases your risk of miscarriage and he also said if we did conceive straight away, that he viewed it as my body's way of saying it was ready.

At the end of the day though, it comes down to when you think you are ready. Its probably best to go with what you've been told (if you can).
I wasn't given a time frame after mine and when I spoke to my GP about my BFP she said it was totally fine to be preg again so quickly. But I guess I had a by the book MC so there were no complications.
Alot of old school drs like to tell you to wait to make dating a new pregnancy easier - but there are scans for all that sort of thing now.
I think if I'd had a more complicated MC I would have taken a TTC break. Also getting pregnant again quickly kinda does your head in a wee bit - but then I'm sure its heartbreaking to have your first AF afterwards as well.

I just found out that I miscarried about a week ago. The Dr. told me to wait 2 months until we ttc again and to making sure we use contraception. Otherwise he said I may just miscarry again. But I see that lots of you didn't do that. Yep, I was completely traumatised and heart broken, I wanted a baby so much. I even buried her (alone, my partner of the time didn't hang around while I was a bit nuts). it took me 9 months to conceive after my m/c (which ended up with a D&C) and that was with me charting my temps and using OPKs every month too - I had a pretty stressful time at work while we were TTC so I think that played a big part of it - and when we did finally conceive again it was while both DH and I were on holiday, all relaxed without any stress from our workplaces!

If we hadn't conceived that month, we were going to the doctor to be referred to a specialist - but obviously didnt need to!

Oh - and I had also just begun acupuncture treatment just before we fell pregnant!

I m/c last Oct and still haven't conceived...bought some ov sticks last month and thought we would def conceive this cycle, but doesn't appear to have happened

I think stress def doesn't help, we tried for 6 months last year, then booked a trip to the US and thought we'd leave the baby plans until we got back - and conceived that month.

after the 1st one was 5 weeks but mc that one too. cycle was compleatly out of whack by then so was 8 weeks from 2nd mc but hadnt had a af since 1st mc.
now i have a beautifull baby girl.

I was told to wait for two months, after that I got preggy straight away. I wasn't sure when I ov, and I actually thought I'd missed the window of opportunity but I hadn't - so was very lucky to get a nice surprise. The line on the preggy test was much stronger than with the m/c pregnancy.

We waited one cycle and then got pregnant on the next cycle. My body treated the m/c like a period and I ov the same time I normally would have. (I get ov pains) and my next period turned up on day 26 just like normal.
My doc told me that it can take up to 6 weeks to get your period back so that's something for you to keep in mind.

I was lucky in that I concieved straight away (does your head in a little bit though) but I figure I had to wait 8mth for the first one so it was the least my body could do for me.

6 weeks for me - I had a d and c Jan 2, first AF Jan 31, conceived around mid Feb and got a BFP Feb 28. For those lucky enough to have concieved after their MC, how long did it take you all??

Its only been 1 week since my MC and i though TTC was taking a long time between cycles before!!!!
