Sorry to hear about your problem! To be honest I haven't heard of that before - that it could take 6 months to get your period after coming off the pill. I would agree that can be the case with depo but in my opinion would be fairly uncommon with the pill. It is common to have irregular periods for awhile definitely, however I came off the mini pill after being on it for 12 years and got my period at the normal time.

I'm in exactly the same boat - went off the pill last year early December and still haven't had a visit from AF. I had blood tests done a month ago to see if I was ov'ing but results came in as a 'no'. The doctor told me I have to wait until late April and if AF still hasn't arrived then we can start looking at options. Not much fun!

ahhhh well i went to the doc yesterday.

Shes not worried at all about me not having a period and said its normal. And that after going off the pill it can take up to 6 months to get my first period, either that or i will have super irregular ones for a year.
She also tested me and that was another BFN.

So i fully understand that it take more than a few months to get pregs and althou i really wanted to be pregs now its ok i will just have fun trying. But since i might not get my period for 6 months that makes charting a waste of time and its also super hard to figure out when im OV since temps etc will just be misleading...... that soooo makes it a pain in the butt coz that means we basically just have to go hard all the time and not just around OV.
it also means knowing when to test isn't so easy. So i was thinkin maybe once a fortnight.

kinda sucks coz i was looking forward to having a few drinks everytime AF comes along. I haven't had a drink since the middle of feb and im kinda hanging out for one, but to scared to drink just incase.

Argghh i just wish i could have my period and be normal so that i can chart and have a better chance of BDing at the right time.

I had the same as you, my AF was 2 wks late, still hasn't arrived, went to docs did a blood test, was BFN, so I looked it up on the internet and I also Did a OPK and was slightly pink for OV, so it looks like I didn't ovulate last month for some reason and thats why I didn't get AF. Frustrating. Back to square one I guess. still no AF, still feeling a bit off but ever so slightly better, maybe its just that im getting used to the headaches, nausea, sensativity to smells......

I have put off doing a pg test coz i soooo dont want to see a BFN... but i still dont have AF so hmmm maybe I will get a nice surprise when i do do it. AF is now 1-3 weeks late (i had a 2 day bleed which could have been AF 2 weeks after my last real one)

Im going to test 2mrw, so if its positive i have a dr appointment on monday, if its a BFN then i will ask the dr about it on monday.

not completely sure, i went off the pill when i had my last normal period, then 2 weeks later i had a 2 day bleed which i wasn't sure wiether that was a period or not.

I got a BFN at 14DPO in the morning. This threw me because I was pretty sure I was pregnant and I spent the entire day on the net reading up peoples experiences.

Then I got a really faint BFP in the afternoon of the same day using a QuickCard.

I'll also confirm I got 'those' after I got my BFP - might have had them before but to be honest wasn't paying enough attention.
Goodness only knows what causes them - cos they are kinda weird.
