Author: asicsgal
Subject: 24883
Posted: 01 March 2009 at 9:36am

Hi nykiwi, welcome to Oh Baby, sounds like you have been having a bit of a rough time with fertility etc. I'm also fairly new to ttc, and I am 37. I came off BCP late Oct and had a chem preg last month. We can't help the fact that we've only started now so no point in regrets and I would not have wanted children with any of my other partners (I have now found the one I want to spend the rest of my life with). One good thing is alteast you are doing all the right things with tests etc, I havnt gone down that track yet (obviously hoping I don't have to). You mentioned about going to a naturopath and acupuncture, I know a lot of ladies on Oh Baby have tried this and has helped them conceive.
It's so easy to read stuff on the internet and get hugely worried, sometimes tooo much info is not a good thing.
Just wanted to encourage you and there are a lot of ladies on here who are also going through similar journeys. You may have noticed that there is a thread on infertility and IVF (amongst others), the ladies on here are very supportive so feel free to join in on whatever thread you feel comfortable with. Sending you lots of hugs and hoping that the rest of your ttc journey brings you are BFP!!!

Im 38 and unfortunately left it late as my ex partner wasnt ready for children in my early 30s so hence here i am!
My news is that even though i had good follicles on scan and ok FSH i had the anti mullarian hormone test which says that i have below average ovarian reserve for my age. i was told more like a woman on 42. Which was awful to here....... I have been trying a year. had a m/c with my ex 2.5 yrs ago
The fertility specialist told me not too waste time and i am having the laproscpic surgery in a couple of weeks as i may have some endo.... apparently i dont have Pcos but have 34 day cycles and had been on a month of clomid cycle .. she said she recommends i go straight to IVF.

I have been doing a lot of research about decreased ovariance reserve and alternative therapy.
anyone else been old this problem.... i feel my chance of getting pregnant have drastically fallen.

have started seeing a naturopath and want o do acupuncture
