I thought my boys didn't like baths until I woke them an hour before their feed so they wern't hungry & had the bath warmer than recommended, going by our thermometer they have a 40 degree bath. and if they are having evening baths, then a warm bathroom and a calm environment with the lights a bit dimmer can help too.

Put a flannel on his tummy/back and hold him really securely ie so he won't kick too much.
Also try having a bath in the morning after a feed and well before he needs to have a sleep. Have they tried having a bath with him? It is a nice bonding time and might help him get over his dislike of the bath. Mine loved the water normal temp that we would have it for adults, not cooler for babies. If it was too cool for them they would scream all the way through as well. Maybe warm the water more.

Two things that were suggested to us when Jack was born was putting a facecloth over his chest and tummy, I suppose similar to Jaycee's suggestion of the towel, and having his head and/or feet touching the side/end of the bath. The only things I can think of are to put him into the bath in a towel - some babies don't like the feeling of being exposed and naked, or to try the bucket shaped bath - maybe just try a bucket first before buying one incase he doesn't like it either!

Hi ladies

A girlfriend of mine (who doesn't visit OhBaby) has a 16 week old boy who does not like baths.

They've tried everything: baby bath in different parts of the house, with bubbles, without; the big bath; the shower. All with and without Mum or Dad.

The one time they were successful was in the baby bath in the nursery. But they haven't been able to replicate it.
