That being said my girls ears are extremely waxy so I clean the outer parts with cotton buds, I just don't go into the canal. You have to be very careful.]]>

Don't use cotton tips - they'll push the yucky stuff down the ear canal to fester and start smelling, and risk breaking off.  You could also call your GP's practice nurse and see what they'd advise.]]>
