Only draw back was we had to the green one but who cares really, for $300 dollars off I couldn't give a rats what colour it was. I would keep an eye out for another sale like that to come up, with the economy how it is the shops are in sales fever so won't be long till you can pick up a real good bargain.

And yep we bought a decent one for that exact reason too, long walks over rough terrain you just need a decent buggy otherwise you are only gonna cause yourself a whole load of grief.

My back isn't great so I won't be putting added strain on it by carrying bubs around in either of those.

Daniel had silent reflux too and we found the best place for him was in the pram slightly raised up.

I will be getting a new pram I've deicded. I'll be walking to burn off fat and there is no way Daniel will keep up with the pace for 6km approx lol and some of the terrian won't be good for one of those kiddy board things. An umbrella stroller also wouldn't be good for that kind of thing. And I'll just sell it off once it's no longer required.

Going on lots of walks is definitely going to be a decider for you for there are other things as well: Briona had silent reflux and did not like the stroller at all - she just about lived in the front pack while Hannah rode in the stroller. I think it's good to have a stroller option for any child under 3yrs, from my experience with how much they seem to be able to walk or not at 2 or 3 yrs. And of course it will depend on whether Daniel prefers to walk with you with a wrist strap or actually ride. You might even want to have him on some kind of ride-on with an adult handle, and baby in a sling, and just buy a cheap umbrella stroller for when you are up town (e.g. the library).

And is definitly the cheapest we found brand new :) You should check it out. It's got the proper tires too not those horrible plastic ones. I usually walk with it for 2 hours 4 days a week. Great value for money. Plus brand new you get a warranty In fact it might even go down in price with boxing day sales. I think thats when we got ours last year.
Author: cuppatea
Subject: 23001
Posted: 08 December 2008 at 7:44pm

It probably depends how much walking you do. I walk a lot and for long periods with my dogs so even at 2 or older Spencer wouldn't be able to walk for that long and would need to go in the buggy at some point. For that reason we have bought a double MB. I did think about doing the sling thing and then having Spencer walk, which might be ok for trips to malls etc but it's not gonna work when were at the forest for an hour +.
I intend to get a double umbrella stroller later on too and that way if Spencer wants to sit down he can and it means I don't have to take a huge buggy to the mall, cafe's etc and if he doesn't want to sit in it then my nappy bag can ride on one side. Until the newbie is old enough for a stroller i'm gonna use the sling for malls cos I hate trying to get a single buggy around most stores so don't even want to attempt it with a double one.
Not sure if this is true but one of the shop assistance reckoned that when the younger one is in a pram the older one often also wants to be in the pram as well.

I didn't even think about this at the time when I got it which was a bit silly really. Will I need something like a phil n teds/MB or is it not worth it?

I've thought about the sling thing and Daniel keeping his pram but I have back issues and no doubt will get worse over the coming months so I don't think carrying a newborn around would be all that smart.. so that option is out.

I don't know how much a 2+ yr old goes in a pram. But if I need a new pram I'm going to have to start putting a bit of $ away for it now and think about selling my other one in a few months.
