She loves her finger food and pretty good with it now.  So yesterday I decided to give her a slice of apple, thinking she'll mostly suck on it until it was mushy.  Man those gums must be strong because she managed to bite a huge chunk off straight away! I suddenly had visions of her choking and such so I quickly whipped it out, then put the rest of the apple in the mesh bag <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0"> ]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=18396">ElfsMum</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 22917<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 05 December 2008 at 1:11pm<br /><br />star- i was just like you...even breaking his crisps into tiny bits..to start with i gave him foods that melt(like cassava chips) but then he progressed to other foods.. with like mixed veges i cut them up then spoon fed then..and let him play with some then slowly he started to eat it now he just eats the mixed veges as they come.. but he did gag and still does occasionally..it was scary but everyone kept telling me it was normal.. as i say though i gave him little pieces so i knew he wouldn't choke but he was just getting used to it.. now I'm sure he can chew I'm giving him bigger bits.. <br /><br />crackers are generally good cause they just melt in the mouth and i gave him things like bits of strawberry and banana but now he has the whole thing(but he does try to shove it all in:) <span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by foxxy_one</span>]]>

I let him nibble the frui I give him now.  Tried a sandwich but he can't quite bite a piece off. <br /><br /><br /><br />]]>
