Author: scribe
Subject: 22583
Posted: 20 November 2008 at 1:36pm

We flew to Aussie a few weeks back, when Clara was about 3 months old.

I second what has been said re: frontpack/sling, especially for when you land and have to queue at customs (on our flights they put the babies down the back - great, no dirty looks - but you're the last off the plane and have a long wait at customs).

If she'll take a dummy, pack one, as I found it a bit hard to time feeds for take off and delivery (we had delays too). So I just kept the dummy in.

The plane was fairly small, so no bulkheads for bassinets, but it was only a 4hr flight and she was fine just sleeping on us.

It was much easier than I thought - the only problems we had were that both times she had meltdowns about an hour after landing - her ears perhaps? So yeah just try to make sure her jaw is moving during take off and landing.

Edited by anakk
