I think last night's salt bath did help, I'm much more comfortable today, not so hot and icky feeling

I had a salt bath every morning for the first week or two. Was fantastic and helped heaps. Salt baths were great. My midwife just told me to get a cheap bag of table salt from the supermarket and put half a cupful in the bath each time. I did salt baths and tea tree oil together for about 2 weeks every night, sometimes if I had the energy I would do one in the morning as well but that was only a couple of times.

Congrats on your wee girl as well.

Yay! A reply just in time for my bath! I was told about the sippy bottle thing too but thought I couldn't really be bothered with all the wetness! It's scary enough dabbing after just a widdle!

Salt baths are good. My mw told me to put a couple of drops of tea tree oil in a small spray bottle and some warm water and spray my stitches each time I went to the toilet. Yes that would be fine..my mw last time round also suggested mixing up some salt water in an old water bottle, you know with the sipper top, and using to kinda squirt over the area after using the toilet, kinda like a bidet effect lol. So I'm running a bath now (it takes a while). People have told me about adding salt to it to help with my stitched area.
I have plain old sea salt.
