I am currently trying to improve his sleeping using suggestions from the 'No Cry Sleep Solution'. It is not a quick fix by any means. We have been doing this for just over three weeks now and are definitely seeing some improvement. He has gone from waking up 3-4 times a night for a full feed to waking up just once the last two nights, having a very brief feed before being returned to his cot where he is self-settling.

I have returned to my old ways a couple of times (giving him a big feed so he falls back to sleep very quickly when I have been desperate for more than a couple of hours sleep) but I really think things are improving. Have a big hug and remember there are lots of us going through the same thing. He will sleep through at some point!

He had poo'ed and it was huge so who can blame him. I wouldn't want to lie in that for another 5 hours. I think next week I will slowly train him out of waking up (I say with my fingers crossed) I'll try the CIO method that I have been researching. I know that he's not hungry because last night he latched then didn't do anything. One day years from now I know that I will miss this special time the two of us have together in the middle of the night. It is lovely to have a sleepy baby lying in your arms!!

I'm tired again this morning. I made sure Lincoln had a big feed before bed last night, full breastfeed, a tin and a half of solids. A bath then tucked up in bed at 6.30ish. This morning he woke at 4am and I thought I would try giving him a cuddle, re-wrapping him again (thats a whole other issue) and back to bed. At 4.45am I was sworn at my the normally lovely DH and told to feed him. I just can't win!!!!

Occassionally we wake up in the morning (5.30am) to discover he's slept through but these days are few and far between. My questions are: what time does your 7 mth old go to bed? and do they sleep through the night? Lincoln goes to bed at about 6.30pm and wakes between 3 & 4am then again at 6am. I am begining to get very tired and need to go back to work in December so need this issue stored out before then. Thanks for your help!
