We finally figured out that it was because Ava was lying on her side, and because she is so small the monitor didnt detect her breathing. It doesnt happen when she is lying on her back.

I will check the sensor pads today. I also still have his cot propped up from when he had a cold so I will take the books away as it may be a combination of both.

When he was really little the full alarm went off twice one night. We rushed in and he was fine. We then adjusted the sensor and it has been ok since (until now).

I need to take DS to the doc next week actually so I will mention it then.

Thank you

It's probably just a monitor malfunction or the monitor being hypersensitive, but better to be sure!

It has already done it once tonight already so I'm hoping that there wont be anymore.

When i go in there he is breathing but very softly. I think he just holds his breath. I could not imagine not having the monitor now, for peace of mind it is amazing.

Does anyone else have this happen often?
